Hi, Curlistas! Happy Friday!!! If you follow me on Twitter then you may have saw that I’m starting a new weekly series called “Friday’s Five Loves” (#Fri5Luvs). Yaaaay! Lol. Every Friday I’m going to share 5 things that I absolutely loved that week. Hopefully some of the things I love will encourage you to try some new things, make your lives a little easier (if you do try them) or inspire you in some other way.
Wet n Wild Club Havana: Maybe you already saw my pic earlier this week on Instagram (@curlsandmo) of this fun orange color. But, I am in LOVE with the new Wet N Wild polishes. The brush is flat and wide which makes application so amazingly simpl and almost perfect. Add to that they’re only $1.99. My only problem is that I wish there were more colors. Check them out if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed.
Toshiba 1TB External Hard Drive: I recently purchased an external hard drive from Amazon and I absolutely love it. I’m able to back up all of my work and I don’t have to worry about space because it’s 1TB. If you’re a blogger, vlogger, student or professional who creates/writes a lot of your work on the computer I would highly recommend it. I’ve had it for a few months and it has been super easy to use. And, trust me, this is the cheapest you’ll find a 1TB external hard drive – I’ve looked! Lol.
Sigma Tool: If you watch my YouTube videos then you may have heard me mention that I suffer from adult acne. For almost a year I have been using the Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool and it has improved my skin dramatically. I gifted one for Christmas and got great feedback! 🙂 Even better, it only costs a fourth of what the Clarisonic does! (Check out my review!)
Magazines: When I started blogging I let it consume me and totally stopped reading books and magazines. I started to notice that whenever someone made a reference about a current event or trend I would be clueless. No more! One of my 2013 promises to myself (I don’t make resolutions) is to read more. I’m currently reading Essence with A Keys on the cover. I also subscribed to Marie Claire and COSMO. Each subscription was free or $5 for 1 year. (Love a good deal.) I’ve found that reading magazines gives me new inspiration and allows my mind a chance to roam freely. It feels good.
Tracy Reese Dessert Plates: OMG!!! Have you seen my Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection Haul? All of the items in the Collection went on sale at Target for SEVENTY% off after Christmas and I was so excited to snag a few things at such a deep discount. My two favorite finds were these Tracy Reese plates and the Marc Jacobs scarf. I was saving the plates for when I have company (which is very rare) or when I move and then I realized that there’s no point in saving them.
Life is beautiful. But, life is short. We have to enjoy life, the beautiful things we have and the amazing people around us while we can.
What were some of your favorite things this week?
