I was recently sent the June CurlKit from Good Girl PR. I haven’t used anything yet but I wanted to share my first impressions with my Curlistas.
The first thing I noticed was a new design and logo. While I have never ordered a CurlKit I’ve seen them before and I noticed the packaging was different. When I opened the box the first thing I saw was CurlLife: A CurlKit Pulication. The cover has a picture of a bride and several references to Continue reading

Happy Monday, dolls! As the summer comes to an end, I realized I had a few [new] pieces I still hadn’t worn. One piece in particular was a pair of neon pastel coral jeans I bought earlier this summer. I’m not big on OOTDs but since I made a special point to tie my outfit and nails together I’ll share both.
For this look I used two pastels and a glitter because, let’s be honest, I’m addicted to glitter.
I used Coral Silk from Cover Girl on my pinky – which I have to admit I REALLY liked this time. I didn’t like it the first time I used it for my ombre nails. Check it out here on my thumb. I used Gelato in Venice by Julie G (y’all know I’m obsessed with her line) on my first 3 fingers and on my toes. Finally, I added A Star is Born from Julie G on my ring finger without color underneath. I wanted a pop of glam and I thought the silver glitter was a nice touch.
Here is the outfit.
I thought the lavender top might be way too off so I tied a pastel multi-colored belt around my waist to bring it all together.

A few weeks ago in “Natural Hair How-To: Fix Your Wack Conditioner” I shared how and why I mixed coconut oil with a conditioner I was NOT feeling. I’ve been using the mixture quite a bit and I’ve found some other things I really like about it. Continue reading

A few weeks ago I shared “Top 5 Daily CLEAR SKIN Products”. These are the products I use every single day to maintain my clear skin. While these are my essentials, there are a few other products that I use throughout the month to keep my skin looking its best.
Water. I know. This should have been included on my first list. But, truthfully water is the number one ingredient. I drink as much water as possibly every day. I rarely drink juice and keep all other liquids to a minimum. It has made a big difference in my skin.
Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System. The Olay microdermabrasion system is really great for diminishing dark spots. When I first started using it my skin was cray cray (yes, I wrote that) and I used it a lot more frequently. Now I use it a few times a month and I find that it still works but because it works so well I don’t have to use it as frequently. Check out my video review here and my written review here to get an in-depth understanding of how to use it and tips.
Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Cleansing Mask. This mask is great for minimizing pores, cutting down on oil production (oil control) and extracting toxins from your skin. I reviewed it here. I don’t use it every week but whenever my skin seems to need a bit more TLC I’ll throw it on when I get home.
Shea Moisture Shave For Women Coconut And Hibiscus Even Skin Tone Creme. I have been using this lotion for a while now. I raved about it in this video and I still love it. It also helps reduce any dark spots. I usually use it at night after I cleanse and tone. It’s really thick so a little goes a long way but it doesn’t clog your pores. I’m assuming since it’s from the “Shave” line I could use it on my bikini line. Hmmm…
Pond’s Rejuveness Anti-Wrinkle Cream. During a recent Target trip I discovered this Pond’s cream – isn’t that how ALL new products are found? Smh – and I decided to try it. While I’m fortunate enough NOT to have wrinkles yet, I am going to start taking some preventive measures. The cream is really hydrating and moisturizing. When I remember to use it, my under eye area does look more alive and awake in the morning.
