Friday’s 5 Loves: Top 5 Skincare Add-Ons

Friday LovesA few weeks ago I shared “Top 5 Daily CLEAR SKIN Products”. These are the products I use every single day to maintain my clear skin. While these are my essentials, there are a few other products that I use throughout the month to keep my skin looking its best.

www.curlsandmo.com lemon waterWater. I know. This should have been included on my first list. But, truthfully water is the number one ingredient. I drink as much water as possibly every day. I rarely drink juice and keep all other liquids to a minimum. It has made a big difference in my skin.

olay regeneristOlay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System. The Olay microdermabrasion system is really great for diminishing dark spots. When I first started using it my skin was cray cray (yes, I wrote that) and I used it a lot more frequently. Now I use it a few times a month and I find that it still works but because it works so well I don’t have to use it as frequently. Check out my video review here and my written review here to get an in-depth understanding of how to use it and tips.

curlsandmo.com Deep-Down-Detox-Ultra-Cleansing-Mud-MaskFormula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Cleansing Mask. This mask is great for minimizing pores, cutting down on oil production (oil control) and extracting toxins from your skin. I reviewed it here. I don’t use it every week but whenever my skin seems to need a bit more TLC I’ll throw it on when I get home.

curlsandmo.com shea moisture even tone cremeShea Moisture Shave For Women Coconut And Hibiscus Even Skin Tone Creme. I have been using this lotion for a while now. I raved about it in this video and I still love it. It also helps reduce any dark spots. I usually use it at night after I cleanse and tone. It’s really thick so a little goes a long way but it doesn’t clog your pores. I’m assuming since it’s from the “Shave” line I could use it on my bikini line. Hmmm…

curlsandmo.com ponds anti wrinklePond’s Rejuveness Anti-Wrinkle Cream. During a recent Target trip I discovered this Pond’s cream – isn’t that how ALL new products are found? Smh – and I decided to try it. While I’m fortunate enough NOT to have wrinkles yet, I am going to start taking some preventive measures. The cream is really hydrating and moisturizing. When I remember to use it, my under eye area does look more alive and awake in the morning.

What are your beauty must-haves? Have you tried anything new lately? Please share below.

Friday LovesIt’s finally gorgeous in NYC! Finally! I am excited because tomorrow is the May Curly Card Night. I’m not expecting as many guests as usual – I think I picked a bad weekend since Mother’s Day is the next day. But, we’re going to have fun regardless! I’m also excited because I’m planning some other types of events so those should be fun. If you haven’t already, please take a second to join the Continue reading

May Curly Card Night – Mother’s Day Edition

Curlistas, this Saturday is the May Curly Card Night. If you’ve ever attended one you’ve probably noticed the lady who wouldn’t leave my side and looks exactly like me (yes, she looks like me – lol). That’s my mom. She’s my biggest supporter and #1 fan. In honor of her and Mother’s Day this year, all moms play for FREE! When you purchase your ticket, simply email me mom’s name and she can come and join us. I hope to see you there!

Friday LovesThis week literally flew by. I can’t believe it’s already Friday but I’m so glad that it is. I also can’t believe it’s the LAST Friday of April. This year is flying by, too. On Sunday I’m doing the Multiple Sclerosis walk with a good friend of mine (I joined her team) and I’m really excited because I’ve never done it before. I’m also excited because I passed my donations goal. Thank goodness it’s Friday, Continue reading

Friday LovesMy heart goes out to the victims in Boston and Texas. I pray that God will heal the hearts of any and everyone directly affected.  This week definitely flew by but I was reminded how blessed I am. I re-grouped a bit and re-assessed what it is I want to do with and for Curls and Mo. You ladies Continue reading
